Considerations
Allergies
The most important aspect of allergic conditions is dietary management. Bioflavonoids, particularly Quercetin and vitamin C have been shown to inhibit the release of histamine and other mediators of the allergic response. A deficiency of Lactobacillus Acidophilus may also be associated with food allergies. Morganics AZ 2-12 is a superior probiotic formulation for sources of lactobacillus acidophilus. Vitamin E has been shown to possess anti-histaminic properties. Vitamin A and Zinc may also alleviate allergy symptoms and prevent sinusitis infections. Balancing pH remains to be the single most important factor in allergic individuals. Morgan-Pro I & II provide high amounts of alkaline forming greens and minerals.
Asthma
Observational studies note a high incidence of vitamin B6 deficiency in asthmatics with significant improvement in symptoms after supplementation with vitamin B6. Vitamin C is also found deficient in asthmatics with supplementation resulting in a lowering of blood histamine levels. In an experimental double-blind study, magnesium supplementation resulted in significant improvements in pulmonary function of asthmatic patients.
Heart Disease
Observational studies indicate that vitamin B6 may inhibit platelet aggregation

and improve clotting time in people with atherosclerosis. B6, B12 and folic acid deficiencies are proven to cause arterial damage due to build-up of toxic homocysteine. Vitamin E may also affect platelet function and lipid metabolism. A 1984 observational study points to chromium deficiency as a risk factor in atherosclerosis. Observational studies report a high incidence of magnesium deficiencies in people with circulatory disorders while other double-blind studies reported magnesium supplementation to be effective after acute myocardial infarction and other cardiac events. Magnesium also helps to prevent calcification of blood vessels, may help to reduce total cholesterol, inhibit platelet aggregation, improve overall lipid metabolism and is necessary for maintenance of normal blood pressure. Vitamin C, amino acids and other nutrients in Morgan-Pro I & II are well documented to be necessary for prevention and management of heart disease
Diabetes
Several studies show improved glucose tolerance in subjects treated with chromium, one of many nutritional elements found deficient in those with impaired glucose metabolism. Chromium helps insulin in the transport of glucose into cells for combustion.
Other nutritional deficiencies noted in diabetics are B complex vitamins, vitamin C, E, magnesium, potassium and zinc. Health of the adrenal glands and liver function are also of great importance in the support of those with diabetes.
Stress & Chronic Fatigue
The adrenal glands are two small glands located on top of the kidneys and secrete important hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. Low adrenal function is a major factor in chronic fatigue. The adrenal glands are the first glands that fail from mental, chemical and physical stress. These stresses may include nutritional deficiencies which are necessary for normal adrenal function which include the production of collagen. Of special interest is collagen that maintains elasticity of blood vessels. Nutrients that fuel the adrenals are vitamin C, amino acids, B complex especially B5, Potassium and Magnesium. Morgan-Pro I & II provide high amounts of these specific nutrients.
Liver Function
The metabolic activities of the liver are essential for providing fuel to the brain, muscles and other organs. Most compounds absorbed by the intestine pass through the liver which enables it to regulate levels of many metobolites in the blood. The healthy liver performs countless chemical actions and reactions in addition to regulating the use of glucose as it allows certain levels to circulate in the blood for use by the cells of the body. The liver plays a central role in the regulation of lipid metabolism. Specific nutritional elements are required for the liver to function effectively. Choline, Inositol, Betaine all help to emulsify fat in the liver and help by ìdecongestingî the liver of excess fat. Milk Thistle extract helps to rebuild liver function.
Brain Function
Glucose is virtually the sole fuel for the human brain. It consumes about 120g daily. The brain accounts for some 60% of the use of glucose by the whole body in the resting state. Choline is an integral part of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Its availability preserves the integrity of the electrical transmission across the gaps between nerves and this helps the flow of electrical energy within the nervous system. Choline helps the liver and gall bladder function and is vital to brain chemistry as it seems to aid thinking capacity and memory. |
